I'm not sure who is the right person to get this resolved with, but I need to speak with someone about the Rothbury Good Life VIP experience. I sent an e-mail right after the festival and didn't get a response. I stayed with my mother in "The Ranch" at the Rothbury festival, and our experience was extremely disappointing. For paying approx. $1500 per person, the accommodations were in really bad shape and the descriptions and pictures on the website were very misleading. I have many pictures of our room. Some of the issues were: 1. We reserved two double beds and only got one double bed in the room. 2. Our screen door was broken and the screen on the door was also broken 3. We didn't realize there wouldn't be A/C, my mother has a serious thyroid condition and needs to be able to cool off. One of the reasons we paid $3000 was because we thought it would be much more comfortable for her. We even spoke to someone who was misinformed and told us the ranch houses were air conditioned. The website was misleading and didn't explicitly explain that there wouldn't be air conditioning in the Ranch houses, and the descriptions and pictures were very misleading. There was a heater or some kind of old appliance in our room that constantly made banging noises. 4. there were broken hooks on the walls, and the dresser for our clothes was being held together by duct tape (see pictures) 5. We felt that asking for a $1000 deposit on a room with broken screens and duct tape was rediculous 6. The directions to the site were very hard to follow and the map of the festival was very hard to navigate. Most people who worked at the Ranch had no idea where we should go. I understand that this is the first year, but all of these things together were very disappointing. 7. The shuttle stops were very inconvenient and there weren't enough of them. Again, one of the reasons we paid close to $3000 was for my mother's health condition and the shuttle stops weren't close to where we were staying or many of the stages. 8. Our toilet and shower was constantly clogged. 9. When we first got to the room it was really dirty with dust all over the windowsills and stained carpet, and uneven bathroom floor, dirty carpet, and mildew smell. We thought the actual festival was fantastic (the helpers, buffet breakfast, and music were great) but the lodging wasn't worth almost $1500 per person. No matter how central to the festival the location was, paying $3000 to stay in a dirty room with broken screen doors, no A/C, broken hooks, dressers held together by duct tape, clogged shower and toilet, stained carpet, mildew smell, ect. is rediculous. We realized that people who paid a little bit more and had a few more people in the Back Forty had infinitely better accommodations, and we don't think this was fair. We are avid festival goers and we believe that when we pay for a VIP experience, especially when its almost $3000, we shouldn't just be paying for a central location and the accomadations should be much better. We would like to be able to attend Rothbury next year and stay in the Back Forty, and hope that you will be able to make this up to us.with tickets/lodging or compensation. thanks for your time.

do you have any word on a rothbury 09? I know the state of the ranch, so I am just curious if it is one and done or not? This festival was the best and I would be grateful for another! It would be a shame to see the rach go!

Any word on the state of the economy at dbl JJ and a possible next year event? That guy is in a world of hurt - it would be sad if the organizers couldn't utilize that space again. Also, it brought so much to the economy to that small town.

I am leaving from Peoria, IL and would love someone to split gas with. You can leave your car at my place, or drive. My travel time is very flexible and I am pretty easy going. Fun!

I am ready. 10 days left of thinking about this event, after having it on my calendar for months. I can't wait to be part of something bigger than myself!

Do you have availability to wash cloth diapers at the venue. I know Double J has washing machines at their camp ground but I wasn't sure if that is where the RV camping is and if it would be open. What about strollers and wagons for kids? Are you allowing video camers?
